Where is Elite Training Academy based?
Elite Training Academy is at 14 Grange Ave, Luton, LU4 9AT, Bedfordshire. Training is in person.
Who teaches the courses?
Courses are taught by founder Donna McGowan, a highly qualified teacher with over 20 years' experience in hairdressing.
Is there parking and Wi-Fi?
Yes. The academy has parking and Wi-Fi for students.
Qualifications
What is a VTCT qualification?
A VTCT qualification is a formally regulated national qualification, recognised worldwide. That differs from an 'accredited' course, which is certified by a private or professional body rather than government regulators. Elite Training Academy is a VTCT approved centre.
What do VTCT Levels 1, 2 and 3 cover?
Each level builds on the last, from foundation skills at Level 1 to advanced cutting and colouring at Level 3. The full list of units for each level is on the Courses page.
Courses and prices
What courses do you offer?
Hairdressing (VTCT Levels 1, 2 and 3 and full NVQs), short hairdressing courses such as cutting, colouring and bridal styling, beauty courses, professional practice and massage courses.
How much do the hairdressing diplomas cost?
VTCT Level One Diploma in Hairdressing: £1,800. Level Two: £3,500. Level Three: £3,950. Prices for every course are listed on the Courses page.
Are classes small?
Yes. Classes are kept small so every student gets personal attention from the teacher.
Booking
Can I just turn up?
No — the academy works by appointment only. Call or email Donna to arrange a visit.
Is there a free consultation?
Yes. A free consultation lets you talk through your goals and find the right course.
Does sending an enquiry book my place?
No. A place is confirmed only once Donna has discussed your requirements and agreed it with you directly.
Clients and models
Do you need clients for students to practise on?
Yes. Clients are needed for cutting, colouring, blow drying, hair up and setting. Get in touch if you would like an appointment.
