I studied hairdressing under Donna at Barnfield and Harpenden Hair Training Academy. Donna was the most amazing tutor. She was kind but firm, extremely encouraging, and treated all of us with the same respect she expected us to give her. She always goes out of her way to help any of her students (even after they have qualified and flown the nest). With her oodles of experience and knowledge, along with her bubbly, kind-hearted personality, you really couldn’t ask for a better tutor.

Being taught by Donna was such a wonderful experience. Her colour knowledge alone is second-to-none. I left education feeling really confident in where my hairdressing career was heading.

Donna was my hairdressing tutor at Barnfield College; she was and is the most genuine, kind-hearted, and funniest person you would ever meet. She always had time for me and all her other students, and she always believed we all had the ability to achieve our goals, even when we didn't think it was possible ourselves. Donna is firm but fair and treated us all with respect, so that made us respect her. There was never a dull moment in her class; her outstanding personality and how she expressed her knowledge make you want to learn. Donna helped me so much while studying, especially when I struggled. She always had the time to help me understand better, and most of all, she believed in me, and with her help, I passed my course. I couldn't of asked for a better tutor, and with her exceptional skills and knowledge, you couldn't ask for a better tutor either.

Donna was one of my tutors when I trained at Barnfield College. Such a lovely tutor always looks out for her students any problems; she was easy to talk to and happy to help. Classes were always full of fun and laughter. Donna taught us all as individuals and was firm as well as fair. I would definitely recommend this lady for tutoring you or your child 🥰

I have worked with Donna and known her professionally for many years. She has a wealth of experience that she endeavours to transfer to others and allows individuals to embark on their aspirations and future goals. Donna was one of my tutors at Barnfield College who taught me the trade I’m still working in today. She motivated me to work hard and keep trying. She gave me the basic tools that the course required, but she also went on to encourage me to see the fun that could be had along the way.
